    ART HOUSE COLIBRÍ

We have created an international competition, in which we will raffle off a six-month stay at our artist residence with all expenses paid.

    ARTISTIC RESIDENCY

We offer the artist six months of quality time in a natural setting located in the mountains of Madrid. During that time, the artist will not have to worry about anything other than their learning.

    FINAL EXHIBITION

At the end of the six months, the ArtHouse Colibrí team undertakes to organise an event, exhibition, concert, etc. to promote the artist and their work.

    ACTIVITIES

From the third month onwards, the artist undertakes to participate actively, for a couple of hours a day, in all the projects carried out at the residence.

    CONTACTS

During their stay at the residence, artists will have the opportunity to share moments with renowned artists.

    Who am I?

I trained at Juan Carlos Corazza’s Gestalt theater studio. During my professional career, I have been fortunate enough to work with great stage directors such as Lluís Pascual, Mario Gas, Andrés Lima, Carles Alfaro, and Miguel Narros, among others. I have also worked with great film directors such as Gabriele Salvatore and Juan Jose Campanela. At the same time, my personal research led me to begin practicing Kung Fu under the guidance of the great master Nino Bernardo 20 years ago in Ibiza.

It also led me to train as a clown with masters such as Gabriel Chamé and Eric De Bont. I recently completed a postgraduate degree in Clown/Gestalt taught by Néstor Muzo and Marina Gutiérrez.

In Ibiza, I discovered Human Design and studied it under Alokanand Díaz, the world’s leading authority in this discipline. I have been doing professional Human Design readings for over 15 years.

For most of my career, I have been immersed in a personal quest: on the one hand, trying to heal the wounds of childhood, and on the other, deepening my artistic expression. I finally understood that my vocation and the path of self-knowledge I had embarked on were two sides of the same coin and led me to the same place: presence. Open, available, and vulnerable is how the clown presents himself to the world, and that is how I offer myself to all of you. I currently teach personal growth courses through astrology, acting, clowning, martial arts, and singing.

    Marco Caparrós

Throughout his career, he has understood art not as the production of objects, but as a living process of knowledge, where the work is born from a direct relationship between time, space and inner experience.

His work has been presented in museum, curatorial and institutional contexts in Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East, and forms part of important international public and private collections. However, beyond the exhibition circuit, the core of his practice lies in sustained research into the internal structure of the image and formal reduction as a means of accessing the essential.
Parallel to his artistic career, Caparrós has developed a profound personal exploration linked to presence, conscious perception and the symbolic languages shared by different cultures. This quest has permeated his way of creating: painting and drawing function as acts of attention, where the gesture becomes a meeting place between the visible and the invisible.
In numerous projects, the creative process is integrated into the exhibition space itself, turning the viewer into a witness to a different, slower and more attentive time. In this sense, his work is not presented as a closed result, but as an open event, where art acts as a vehicle for intangible cultural values and shared experience.

Currently, Marco Caparrós continues to develop a lively, interdisciplinary artistic practice in constant dialogue with other disciplines, understanding creation as a form of active presence in the world and as a path of knowledge that is renewed with every gesture.

    Paulo Caparrós

Over time, all this research naturally led to work in water, an environment where the body reorganises itself, listens and reveals itself without the usual resistance. Water has become a privileged space for him to accompany processes of physical, emotional and energetic integration.

In recent years, he has developed his own system of intelligent training, aimed at recovering internal unity. It is an approach that does not seek to improve isolated parts, but rather to integrate body, mind and energy in order to restore a person’s ability to feel, inhabit and live with greater vitality and freedom. Its goal is not performance, but internal coherence.

At the same time, his work is expressed through writing. He has published five books that do not function as conventional readings, but as practical tools and vehicles of experience. Each project addresses a specific area of life:

La Joya (The Jewel), as symbolic technology for thought and attention.

Los personajes que te habitan (The Characters that Inhabit You), for internal dialogue.

El Panteón de los Arquetipos (The Pantheon of Archetypes), as a map of internal forces.

Umbral WC (WC Threshold), as a daily practice of presence and transition.

Audiovisual creation is also an essential part of his research. He develops guided experiences of visualisation, meditation and body listening, in short or long formats, where image, sound and words act as catalysts for states of being. The Walk Meditation project, a practice of conscious movement applied to walking as a space for regulation and presence, falls within this line of work.

She currently devotes herself to writing, water work sessions, personalised training and the creation of audiovisual experiences aimed at self-knowledge and personal freedom. Her entire professional life converges in the same direction: designing maps, practices and experiences that allow people to regain sensitivity, clarity and freedom in their way of life.

    Large family home

The house, built in 1985, was one of the first houses in Spain to use solar energy. The black and grey water from the house passes through a filter and then into a well where it is stored before being transferred to an artificial reservoir, where it settles, providing a habitat for different species of ducks and fish.

The reservoir has a surface area of 800 square metres and a depth of 5 metres. It also has a small boat that can be used to row on its surface.

    Activities to be carried out

During the artist’s stay at the residence, the following activities may be carried out.

    Interpretation
Hand in hand with the best artists in the world of theatre.
    Singing
Tune your vocal cords by discovering your ideal pitch.
    Dance
Perform dances of all types and cultures with our instructors.
    Excursions
There will also be free time and organised activities.

    We are waiting for you

The Art House Colibrí team would be delighted if you could be the one to take advantage of this opportunity with us.
